Cheyne Hill Race 4th Summer Series Race 19/9/06

Thanks to Gary Gutteridge for organising and Bruce Manning for officiating. A fine evening but a poor turnout for the last in the summer series, maybe due to an early start and late notice. Gary provided an interesting route with a bit of everything thrown in. Starting with a track up through the forest to the eastern edge providing a clear view of Stonehaven down to the sea. The perimeter track continued uphill to the open heathland which definitely suited the more vertically challenged amongst us as there was a fair bit of low branch dodging. The hurdling section where the path crossed a recently buried pipeline also provided an interesting challenge!

Club Championship Update

Thanks to Bob for the latest update attached. Looks like Dennis is just holding on to the Men's Open title while Lois is way out in the lead for the ladies. Two races still to go which could still see some changes at the top - Cairn William on 23rd Sep and Bennachie on 1st Oct.
